- 1971, Apollo 14 Moon Letter from January 31st 1971 to February 9th 1971, the Moon cover is franked with a 10-cent “First Man on the Moon” stamp and bears the signatures of the three astronauts, Alan B. Shepard, Stuart A. Roosa, and Edgar D. Mitchell. The cover was processed in Houston on February 26, 1971, upon the astronauts’ release from quarantine after their return from the Moon, and is also marked with the three-line red quarantine stamp. Additionally, there is an original confirmation letter from astronaut Mitchell stating that the letter landed on the moon with apollo 14. This letter is number 12 out of 55, a very rare piece, accompanied by a detailed financial certificate from Bolaffi (certificato finanziario) and a certificate from Diena. Hopferwieser A-14.
