We are interested in rare stamps with a certificate, entire collections and old stamps (before 1954). 
For a first assessment we need detailed information about your pieces::

  • From where and when are the stamps?
  • How many albums does the collection contain?
  • Are the stamps used or unused?
  • Are you in possession of any certificates or other documents that proof the authenticity of the stamp?
  • Do you own any lists or documents which contain pricelists, the origin of the rarity and in which year the stamp has been published?

We are not interested in collections of childhood or modern collections (after 1954).

We do not offer certificated stamp-evaluations, but we are more then happy to assist you to find a sworn expert for our pieces. A deposit should have a minimum value of 1000 Euro and the average price for single lots should be 100 Euro.

If your collection meets our requirements for the auction, our experts will be available to you for a detailed examination of your stamps. Additionally, we offer consultation through our experts in order to make to the right decisions in the following process:

  • Consultation and pick up of your collection at your destination (only for exceptionally rare and valuable pieces)

Sell your stamps/coins

  • Sell your stamps through our auction
    If you decide to sell your stamps on our auctions, it is in our interest to sell your pieces on the international collectors market at the highest price possible. We offer fair commissions with no hidden extra costs added.
  • Sell your stamps directly
    In some cases, “Viennafil Auktionen” buys collections and rare pieces directly. In this case you will receive the amount of money the two parties have agreed on in cash or through a bank transfer.

Processing your collection/s

Your collection will be split up into single lots and evaluated by our philatelic experts. Depending on which aea the lots are from the evaluation will be in German, Italian or English.

Those single lots will be posted in our online catalogues for the following auction.

Special collections will be pictured in our specialized catalogues.

Our flip- and online-catalogues will be posted on our website and on social media, therefore your pieces will be exposed to our international clientele all around the world.

We print around 5000 pieces of our auction-catalogues and mail them to our customers all around the world. Additionally, we advertise our auctions in many countries directly, whenever we are on a philatelic fairs and philatelic journals.

The auction

Our public auctions take place twice a year in the conference rooms of the “Fleming´s Selection Hotel Wien-City”. Up to 100 collectors are present at our public auctions, hundreds of passionate collectors place their bids at our auction through our innovative “Live Bieten”option, or are represented by professional bidding agents in the auction hall.

Consignor settlement

Six weeks after the auction we send the result list of the sold lots to our submitters. Normally the payment of the sold lots will take place in the fourth month after the auction. We offer you the option to put the unsold lots into our next auction
